Brandon & Tommy’s fight to be on ‘The Hills’

Brandon Lee is bracing for his personal life to be televised.

ET’s Katie Krause caught up with the 23-year-old son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee at the premiere of his new show, The Hills: New Beginnings. Brandon and his 56-year-old dad made headlines back in March after Brandon allegedly assaulted his father in his bedroom at his home in Calabasas, California, something that Brandon is a little apprehensive to relive on the reality show reboot.

“I mean, that’s something that I’ve tried to keep private between me and my dad, but it’s definitely, you know, it’s inevitable that it spills over onto my show,” he said. “It’s a big part of my life. It’s something that was really prevalent in my life at the time, during most of the filming process. So I think you’ll get to see a little bit of that. It [was] definitely a hard time for both of us.”

“I feel like I was pretty angry when I was filming, so I don’t remember what I said, which is, like, kind of nerve-wracking too. I tried to tell him the other day, like, ‘Dude, I don’t know if I said anything crazy.’ But who knows, you know?” Brandon continued of his dad, with whom he appeared to make up with in December. “I was really upset when all that stuff was going on. But friends fight. He’s like my best friend, so people get over it.”

Last June, following a back-and-forth social media feud between the father-son duo, a source told ET that Brandon was tired of fighting publicly with his dad.

“It’s so sad that Tommy feels the need to keep attacking his son despite Brandon’s pleas to quit their very public feud,” the source said. “Brandon wants to rise above all of this but keeps getting pulled into it and defending himself. Brandon realizes enough is enough and that’s exactly why he removed the video of his father, but Tommy doesn’t seem to want it to end. He seems to want to keep fighting.”

When ET spoke with Pamela — who was married to Tommy from 1995 to 1998 — about the feud, she said that it was their business.

“They’re both adults. Maybe Brandon more so,” Pamela, who will also appear on the reboot of The Hills, said last June. “It’s between them. I wish the best for everybody, but, you know, we’re all growing and learning and this is part of it. It’s too bad, but like I said, it’s the past.”

Calgary Expo: Pamela on activism, being a sex symbol

image host

“It’s a compliment, I think. Everyone wants to be sexy. There are worse things you could call me.”

So started the conversation with Canadian expat Pamela Anderson on Sunday afternoon, the final celebrity to take the stage at the Stampede Corral for the 2019 Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo. It’s the obligatory question for those who are perhaps known more for their looks than range as a thespian. Does she mind being known as “one of the world’s biggest sex symbols?”

Well, apparently not. But the Vancouver Island native and former star of Baywatch made clear that she is much more interested in life as a mother and animal-rights activist these days. There were more shout-outs to PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and championing of veganism than you could count during the 45-minute panel, with the actress saying that her reputation as a sex symbol has actually been useful not only in making activism sexy but also as a way to catch people by surprise.

“It’s kind of a secret weapon,” she says. “When someone doesn’t think you’re intelligent but then you form a full sentence, you’re a genius.”

While much of the conversation revolved around Anderson’s work as an animal-rights and environmental activist, it was not without its tasty tidbits about the less-serious side of her career.

Born in Ladysmith, B.C., Anderson initially gained fame for her Playboy Playmate of the Month spreads and for her role as the red-swimsuited C.J. Parker in Baywatch in the 1990s. On Sunday, we learned that Anderson never worked out during her Baywatch stint, despite it being stipulated in her contract that she couldn’t gain weight. We learned that the late Marvel guru Stan Lee suggested that nudity be incorporated into the 2003 cartoon series Stripperella, where the titular character was based on and voiced by Anderson.

“It was a little bit naughty for me, even,” she said. “I didn’t know if I should do that. My kids were growing up. Not that that stopped me from much else.”

As for her relationship with her ex-husband, drummer Tommy Lee, Anderson addressed it after a question was asked about the tell-all book The Dirt, which focused on the wild years of Lee and his Motley Crue bandmates.

She hasn’t read the book nor seen the Netflix film based on it. But she isn’t surprised that she didn’t make her way into the film.

“I was in the book but it was garbage and it wasn’t true,” she said. “So I’m sure they didn’t want to put that in the movie and be liable for anything. Tommy and I speak and are friends and are both in our kids’ lives.”

Finally, we learned that the 2005 Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson raised $250,000 for PETA. That was really the only reason she did it. Besides, she found a clever way to deflect attention while being roasted.

“Who else can I get involved?” she said. “Who else can I share the attention with? That’s the trick. When you’re on a roast, get other people that are crazy. I had Courtney Love, Tommy my ex and I got Andy Dick. I just got a bunch of people that I knew they could pick on, too.”

Rick Salomon ‘is still in love’ with Pam

Pamela Anderson’s third husband Rick Salomon – whom she has been married to twice in the past – allegedly wants her back.

The professional poker player, 50, wed the ex-Baywatch starlet, 51, in 2007, but it was annulled in 2008. They then married a decade later in 2014 – but then divorced in 2015.

Pamela’s sons – whom she shares with her first marriage to rock star Tommy Lee – are also said to be keen for their mother to reignite the flame with their former-step-father.

Brandon, 22, and Dylan, 21, are desperate for them to get back together, a source told The Sun: ‘Brandon and Dylan have been begging [Pamela] to get back with [Rick] and say that he is still in love with her.

‘They said to her, “look mum there’s every sign he’s still in love with you, he still lives in the house you designed, you could move back in”. Even though things didn’t work out with him and Pamela – he never stepped away from being that father figure.

‘He’s always been there for them through everything and that’s why they’d love for him to get back together with Pamela. Pamela left Rick because of his addiction problems but he’s doing very well now. Pamela really loved Rick and she’s definitely open to the idea.’

Pamela is supposedly dating soccer star Adil Rami, but their romance has proven to have its ups and downs.

She and Rick’s first wedding took place in Vegas, in September 2007, annulling it six months later.

Prior to this, he was married to actresses Elizabeth Daily – from 1995 to 2000 – and Shannen Doherty – from 2002 to 2003.

Elsewhere, the father of her sons appears to have patched things up with them, having recently feuded.

After a rocky 18 months Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy, 56, was seen with Brandon and Dylan outside Nobu in Malibu after they had dinner along with Tommy’s wife Brittany Furlan, 32.

At one point Brandon, who is starring in the reboot of The Hills: The New Beginnings, showed his dad his new Porsche.

The duo were seen happily chatting and bonding just over a year after their bust-up.

The rocker infamously feuded with his eldest son last year but the duo proved they were back on good terms in December when the musician posted a snap of the duo hugging.

‘I love you son,’ he captioned the image.

‘Love you dad,’ Brandon commented.

Back in March 2018 Brandon and Tommy got in a physical fight, resulting in injuries severe enough to warrant a hospital trip for the drummer.

Tommy went off about the fight on Twitter at the time, writing: ‘My fiancée [Brittany Furlan] and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police. THAT’S the truth.’

The LA County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that they responded to the incident at Tommy’s home at the time of the alleged altercation.

After the incident, Tommy posted a photo of swollen and bloody lips as evidence of the attack.

It was captioned: ‘My heart is broken. You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you

Brandon responded shortly thereafter, telling People: ‘I’m devastated at the events of the last several days that have been a result of my father’s alcoholism.

‘I’ve worked tirelessly organizing an intervention and it’s incredibly upsetting that it never came to fruition.

‘I wanted my dad’s hopeful sobriety and recovery to be a private family matter but, as a result of his accusations on social media, I feel forced to speak out. I have and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as needed. I love my father and just want to see him sober, happy and healthy.’

Tommy seems to be doing better these days. He married social media star Brittany on February 14 after dating for around two years.
