Pamela Anderson: Becoming a ‘Playboy’ Model ‘Saved My Life’

Pamela Anderson refuses to be held down. In an exclusive new interview with Us Weekly, the 50-year-old model opens up about the sexual abuse she suffered growing up.

“I was molested as a child by a bad female babysitter, who is no longer alive,” she says. “And my first experiences with men were not consensual.”

But Anderson never let the abuse stop her from persevering. She landed her big break with Playboy in 1989 and became the magazine’s Playmate of the Month the following February, an accomplishment that she says she’ll never forget.

“I was painfully shy as a child. As a young girl, Playboy empowered me. It really saved my life,” she tells Us. “I felt very trapped inside and needed to free myself. It was a breakthrough for me, and there I met artists and activists and gentleman. It has been a fun and wild life.”

The road to success wasn’t always easy though, which is why Anderson has a message for those who have gone through similar struggles. “I encourage everyone to be brave and step outside your comfort zone,” she says. “It’s a springboard into the unknown. And when you can do this, you can really live.”

She continues, “We’ve all had some kind of tragedy in our lives. We just have to remember that and be good to each other.”

The Baywatch alum is also speaking out against the recent sexual misconduct scandal in Hollywood. (She came under fire in November for suggesting that Harvey Weinstein’s accusers knew what they were “getting into” by “going into a hotel room alone” with the movie mogul, who has denied any allegations of non-consensual sex.)

“Hollywood is difficult. It is not my favorite place to be,” she tells Us. “But it is a business, and if this is the life you want, you play the game. I’m happy to be living in France now. Hollywood is too much. I’d rather use my energy in other ways.”

Those other ways include continuing her work as an activist with PETA and writing her upcoming book, Lust for Love: Rekindling Intimacy and Passion in Your Relationship. As she tells Us, “Activism is sexy.”

Pamela Anderson on Playboy orgies, Putin and Sly

Pamela Anderson reflected on her wild life, from Playboy Mansion orgies to propositions from Vladimir Putin and Sylvester Stallone, in a revealing new interview on “Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.”

Anderson, 50, hinted that she was initially terrified during a 1980s visit to the Playboy Mansion, though she insisted that the late Hugh Hefner was a complete gentleman.

“Everyone was naked in the grotto and the girls were downstairs and they all went upstairs,” Anderson recalled in a preview obtained by The Sun. “I followed them upstairs. I thought, ‘What could be going on up here?’ Seven girls, one at a time with Hef. I stood at the end of the bed watching them and then I realized they were watching me. I thought, ‘This is not a movie. I need to leave.’ ”

“I have seen a lot of craziness at the Playboy Mansion,” she added. “He had a lot of women around. There were these big TV screens with crazy things going on with him and the girls and baby oil.”

Of Hefner, who passed away in September 2017 at 91, Anderson gushed, “He was a pioneer. A true gentleman and he was charming. He loved women and he empowered women. He was very forward-thinking and created his own life. Nobody could copy him. It was nothing salacious. I thought it was very innocent.”

Anderson also revealed that he acted as a protector when she encountered sexual harassment in Hollywood.

“I have had men say, ‘Come back to my hotel room and audition with me. If you don’t come I will give it to the girl across the hall,’ ” she said. “And then they have ended up giving the role to a girl across the hall. People have said, ‘Pamela, come and join us in the Jacuzzi and I will give you $100,000.’ And I have said, ‘I think that is more than just the Jacuzzi. I am calling Hef.’ ”

Of disgraced mogul Harvey Weinstein in particular, Anderson claimed that he was never sexually inappropriate with her, but that he was a “bully,” alleging, “Over the phone he was threatening. And I didn’t work again because I stood up to him.”

A rep for Weinstein told Page Six of Anderson’s claim, “Mr. Weinstein never spoke to Pamela Anderson on the phone regarding this film. This was a Dimension project and she dealt with Bob. Mr. Weinstein always recalls Ms. Anderson having a great relationship with the Company and they all thought her contributions to the film and the television world were fabulous. She brings up some great points in her interview and as an industry vet her remarks are valuable. However, Mr. Weinstein stands firm on his recollection of his interactions with her.”

The blond bombshell also revealed the nature of her relationship with Russian President Putin.

“I wrote to him and asked him to stop the importation of seal products, because this was 95 percent of the market and that could potentially shut down the Canadian seal hunt, which is one of my big goals, and he did. He made it actually illegal to import seal products into the country,” she said.

When pressed on whether she was romantically involved with Putin at any point, Anderson giggled and played coy.

“He wanted me to come to his inauguration and give him flowers … I didn’t do that,” she said, conceding, “Obviously we have been in the same place together sometimes … I had a great relationship with Russia, yes.”

The “Baywatch” babe also admitted turning down “Rocky” and “Rambo” star Stallone, despite his best efforts.

“He offered me a condo and a Porsche to be his ‘number one girl,’ ” Anderson revealed. “I said, ‘Does that mean there is a number two?’ He said, ‘Of course.’” She added, “He is very funny. I did not take the condo or the Porsche. Maybe I should have.”

A rep for Stallone, 71 — who’s been happily married to former swimsuit model Jennifer Flavin for two decades — did not immediately return a request for comment.

Pamela Anderson reveals seven naked models once wanted to watch her have sex with Hugh Hefner

Pamela Anderson has dished the dirt on her wild sex life and love interests over the years.

The former Baywatch star, 50, appears on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories where she reveals a number of closely guarded secrets.

She also opened up about her craziest experience at Hugh Hefner’s famous Playboy mansion.

Recalling the incident, the former Playboy Playmate said she thought she was there to watch models romp with Hefner, but it soon became apparent that they actually wanted to watch her have sex with the Playboy founder.

“Everyone was naked in the grotto and the girls were downstairs and they all went upstairs,” she says.

“I followed them upstairs. I thought, ‘What could be going on up here?’ Seven girls, one at a time with Hef.

“I was stood at the end of the bed watching them and then I realised they were watching me. I thought, ‘This is not a movie. I need to leave’.”

Elswhere in the interview, she also told Piers that she does not want men “to feel like they can’t make the first move” in the wake of the Hollywood sexual misconduct scandal.

The star previously faced criticism for saying “you know what you’re getting into if you’re going into a hotel room alone” with some names in Hollywood.

“Obviously, I am supportive of women and feel for women that have been made sexual advances on that they don’t want, but I also feel for the men too.

“I have two young boys and I always was very worried about a woman falsely accusing them of something and ruining their lives, so I thought people ask me if I’m a feminist and I don’t want women or men telling me how to be a woman.”

And she adds: “I prefer men to be passionate and aggressive and make the first move, and you don’t want men to feel like they can’t, but obviously there are people that go too far.”

She also talks about Tommy Lee being sentenced to six months in jail in 1998 for kicking her, his then wife, while she held their baby son.

“It just got very ugly. I haven’t thought about this in a long time but yeah, it was bad,” she says.

Anderson, who claims that being vegan is “better for your sex life” in the interview, says she never wants to see their infamous sex tape.

The actress is also pressed about her connection to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

When asked whether “you and Putin ever…” she cuts Morgan off, saying: “No, but he wanted me to come to his inauguration and give him flowers…. I didn’t do that. Obviously we have been in the same place together sometimes.”

The actress, who has been linked to Julian Assange, said of body image: “Girls are just really hard on themselves. The sexiest thing you can be is confident…. When you are really just free with your life, your body, it’s so much more attractive.”
