Pamela Anderson watches on as Adil Rami scores for Marseille

PAMELA ANDERSON was a notable guest at the Stade Velodrome as she watched her reported partner Adil Rami in action for Marseille against Monaco in the 2-2 draw.

And her presence clearly had an effect on the 32-year-old who equalised in the seventh minute to cancel out Keita Balde’s early opener.

Valere Germain then put Rudi Garcia’s men in front against his former side, before Fabinho netted shortly after as both teams shared the spoils in the Ligue 1 tie.

The game burst into life immediately after the whistle, as Keita fired the reigning champions ahead in the fourth minute, as he slotted his strike beyond Steve Mandanda.

But Rami – who is reported to be living with the former Baywatch star – then got his men back on level terms shortly after heading home a Florian Thauvin corner.

Both side’s were guilty of squandering a host of chances in the opening 45 minutes, with Falcao, Dimitri Payet, Lucas Ocampos and Thauvin all going close.

And just like the first half, the goals came thick and fast at the start of the second period.

Germain – who left Stade Louis II last summer – found the back of the net in the 47th minute, as he bravely got on the end of a Payet delivery to head past Danijel Subasic.

But it didn’t take long for Manchester United and Manchester City target Fabinho to get in on the act.

The 24-year-old equalised just four minutes later, as he guided his right-footed strike into the bottom left corner.

Both teams continued their quest for a winner, with Hermain and Thauvin spurning key opportunities for the home side.

In the end, the result does neither club no favours, as Marseille stay in third place – 11 points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain – while Monaco remain in fourth spot.

Pamela Anderson Defends Julian Assange

Pamela Anderson has defended Julian Assange once again and insisted the rape allegations made against him in 2012 were a “setup” as she spoke out about sexual harassment in the entertainment industry.

Anderson, 50, faced backlash last month after she suggested Harvey Weinstein’s accusers should have known what they were getting into by going into a hotel room alone. She has addressed the ongoing sexual misconduct scandal once again, while discussing the allegations made against her friend Assange, who is currently held up inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

Appearing on BBC’s “Victoria Derbyshire programme” on Tuesday, the “Baywatch” alum explained of the WikiLeaks founder: “I would rather be a friend to Julian than anybody. I think he’s so full of information, has an incredible perspective and is a genius and is trying to help humanity.”

She added that it is “impossible” for Assange to leave the embassy after facing a rape allegation, which was dropped by Swedish authorities last year. Assange sought asylum in the embassy back in 2012 after losing court battles to avoid extradition to Sweden over the claims, which he denied all along.

Anderson insisted, “The best way to discredit somebody is to call them a rapist, or a pedophile. How do you get over that even if it’s not true? So I think this was a setup. This was not something that was true.”

Talking further about the #MeToo movement, Anderson insisted that young women “just have to be more careful.”

“Even in colleges I find young girls drinking and putting themselves in this situation, these boys have been away from home for the first time. They’re full of testosterone, especially with what people see on the internet these days. A woman in that position is in a dangerous position so you just have to be careful. We can ruin boys’ lives and women’s lives this way.”

However, the star denied that she was victim-blaming and said: “I’m a good person to discuss this because of my image. I’ve just learned to not put myself in positions where I could be in any danger.”
