Pamela Anderson, Uncensored, on Activism, Feminism, Family, & Love

There are quite a few attributes that Pamela Anderson has in spades. Yes, there’s the superficial bits—the tousled blonde waves and curves that famously landed her on countless covers of Playboy—but a quality that Anderson has on lock, it would seem, is longevity. Consider the fact that Anderson entered the cultural zeitgeist back in 1989 with her first Playboy cover, which she quickly segued into an acting career with roles on popular TV shows like Home Improvement and, of course, Baywatch.

Today, Anderson is a bit of everything—an animal rights activist, a feminist, a soon-to-be author, a mother to two popular male models, a front row regular at fashion shows, and, yes, a bombshell. Relocated to Saint Tropez for the summer, Anderson teamed up with her old friend, the photographer Luke Gilford, for an impromptu photo shoot, and chatted with W about her sons, the advice Julian Assange gave her about social media, and more.

Where in the world are you right now?

I’m in Saint Tropez for the rest of the summer. I have been for about three months so far. I’m renting out my house in Malibu, so I’m semi-homeless which is kind of nice when you get to go to the South of France. I can’t complain.

Do you go out every summer?

I don’t. I’ve been out here plenty of times for shoots, but my evil plan was always to semi-retire here. My kids [Dylan Jagger and Brandon Thomas Lee] are grown and they want me to be happy and they want to visit France, so it works out. I’m not micro-managing their life in L.A., and we’re spending quite a bit of time out here going to museums and experiencing culture and different languages, so it’s the best of all worlds. And it was always my plan and something I really aspired to. I knew before I turned 50 that I would be living on the French Riviera. And here I am.

Do you remember the first time you went there?

The first time I came was with Playboy about 20 years ago. I’m not really good with times and dates, but that was the first time. It’s a beautiful light. Everybody looks good in Saint Tropez. It is either full of beautiful people, or it’s the light. I can’t tell.

Pamela meets fans at Comic-Con London

She’s been turning heads at Comic-Con in London, meeting fans and signing autographs.

And Pamela Anderson, 50, looked as stunning as ever as she made her way into the Olympia convention on Saturday, greeted by scores of Baywatch acolytes.

The star, who made her name as C.J. Parker in the hit Nineties show, was escorted into the venue by a burly security guard while the blonde beauty smiled at admirers hoping to greet her.

Dressed in a smart pencil skirt that flashed her tanned and toned pins, the actress cut a youthful figure as she entered the building.

She teamed the garment with a sleeveless lace blouse that complemented her flawless complexion.

With an LA tan and Hollywood smile, the Nineties pin-up sported a pair of seductive high heals, adding a splash of red nail varnish as a nod to her Baywatch get-up.

Pamela has been at the convention doing meet and greets with thousands of fans who’ve turned out to meet their comic book and TV heroes.

Pamela’s rumoured beau Adil Rami, 31, was not present during her London fan appearance.

The sports star, who played for Sevilla FC and the French national team, and Pamela first sparked speculation they are an item in the French media, after stepping out together in Nice last month.

Despite being 18 years his senior, Pamela is thought to have met Adil in Los Angeles, and the pair were rumoured to have spent the weekend together in Monaco last month.

The new pairing has come as a surprise to many, as it was heavily speculated she was dating WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Pamela was first linked to Julian in September 2014, when she was spotted at the Ecuadorian Embassy where he then resided in self-imposed exile – believing he would be extradited to the States for questioning over the activities of WikiLeaks if he left.

She is thought to have made the visit in order to try to persuade Julian to back her new foundation, which supports women who are victims of sexual abuse.

Since then, she has become a regular guest and was even snapped bringing vegan cheeseburgers to the political prisoner in February.

The actress has previously referred to Assange as her ‘dear friend’, saying she would not be surprised if people reduced their connection to ‘just a sexual relationship’.

Pamela at the first day of Comic Con in London

She earned star status after appearing as beach babe C.J. Parker in Baywatch.

And Pamela Anderson delighted fans of the hit series as she attended the first day of London Film & Comic Con at Olympia on Friday.

The actress, 50, looked spectacular in a pastel-pink silk mini-dress with a sweeping floral pattern, which showed off her slim waist and hourglass shape.
The blonde bombshell’s elegant choice of outfit cinched in around her trim middle with a matching ribbon tie.

Pamela teamed the summer frock with a pair of towering nude patent stilettos, letting the dress do all the talking as she went without jewellery.

The mother-of-two’s glossy golden tresses hung across her shoulders in loose waves, accentuating her light rosy make-up after jetting to the capital after a sun-soaked few days in St. Tropez in the South of France.
The Canadian-born actress was all smiles as she signed autographs for fans, tossing her hair off her face and laughing with visitors.

Set to attend on each of its three days, experiences with the Baywatch star vary in price, from £20 to have a chat to £45 for an autograph.

Pamela joins a star-studded list of guests who will be attending the three-day film, television and comic event at Olympia London.

Headlined by Doctor Strange and Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch, other notable celebrities will include Buffy and How I Met Your Mother’s Alyson Hannigan, Monty Python comic John Cleese and Clerks actor Kevin Smith.

And with Game of Thrones back on screens, a plethora of stars from the television series will also be on hand for fans to meet and greet.

Among those are stars Natalie Dormer, Finn Jones, Pilou Asbaek, Conleth Hill, and Hodor actor Kristian Nairn.

Pamela’s new rumoured beau Adil Rami, 31, was not present during her London fan appearance.
