PAMELA Anderson has urged Kim Kardashian to stop wearing fur in an open letter after they met at New York Fashion Week.a

The Baywatch star-turned-animal rights activist has targeted the reality beauty over her fashion choices.

Pamela, 50, saw the reality TV star at a catwalk show in the Big Apple this month, and the meeting inspired the PETA supporter to write Kim a letter.

The actress, who is famed for her devotion to animal rights issues, told Kim she “has a big heart” and implored her to stop wearing animal pelts.

In the letter, Pamela wrote: “Dear Kim, It was lovely seeing you at New York Fashion Week.

“I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know you over the years, and I can tell you’re a good person with a big, beautiful heart.

“I’m writing to ask you to extend your compassion to real fashion victims — the animals who are violently killed in the fur trade — by swearing off fur this winter.

“I think you’d be horrified to learn that every single fur farm that PETA has exposed has been beyond cruel.”

She cited model Gisele Bundchen as an example of a famous face who has come out against fur, and she told Kim to do the same.

Pamela added: “You know I know you, and you can be a hero for animals as well as a great example to all your beautiful followers by swearing off fur.

“Please do the right thing.”

Pamela has spent years campaigning to end animal rights abuses, including fur farms and seal clubbing in Canada.

She is a vocal supporter of animal rights campaign group PETA and is a longtime vegetarian.

Kim is often seen out and about wearing items that appear to be made out of fur.

She has yet to respond to Pamela’s letter.
