Courtney Love Slams Pam & Tommy Series

Courtney Love has some things to say about Hulu’s upcoming Pam & Tommy miniseries.

The four-time Grammy Award nominee, 56, defended her friend Pamela Anderson on Facebook Friday, posting a photo of an article about the limited series, which is set to cover the Baywatch star’s whirlwind romance with Tommy Lee and their infamous sex tape. “I find this so f—ing outrageous,” Love began in her post.

“When Pam / Tommy sex tape was out / myself @pattyschemel @xmadmx were making a record,” Love continued. “And the lone women in many recording studios in LA. Where all / ALL! The staff engineers / producers / owners / were watching the sex tape with huge schadenfraude.. Guffaws, It was disgusting. I banned anyone discussing it.. It destroyed my friend Pamelas life. Utterly.”

Anderson, 53, and Lee, 58, have yet to personally comment on the show.

A rep for Hulu did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Also in her post, Love claimed that the upcoming series asked to use her likeness. “Last week I was asked to approve using a Rolling Stone cover of mine / shot by Mark Seliger in this piece of s—,” Love wrote. “That they had approved. I said ‘f— no.’ shocked. Gentleman don’t approve this sort of thing.”

Love concluded her post by calling out Lily James, who will portray Anderson. “My heart goes out to Pammy ♥️♥️ further causing her complex trauma. And shame on Lily James whoever the f— she is. #vile,” Love wrote.

Reps for Anderson and James did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Pam & Tommy recently began filming with James and costar Sebastian Stan playing the titular couple. The series recounts their four-day romance leading up to their wedding on a Mexican beach in 1995, as well as the making and subsequent scandal of their sex tape.

The former couple sued the distributor of their sex tape, Internet Entertainment Group, before reaching a confidential settlement. The tape was still released publicly.

“I’ve never seen it. I made not one dollar. It was stolen property. We made a deal to stop all the shenanigans,” Anderson said on Watch What Happens Live in 2015.

“I was seven months pregnant with Dylan and thinking it was affecting the pregnancy with the stress and said, ‘I’m not going to court anymore. I’m not being deposed anymore by these horny, weird lawyer men. I don’t want to talk about my vagina anymore or my public sex — anything,’ ” Anderson said at the time.

Anderson and Lee divorced in 1998, and they share sons Brandon, 24, and Dylan, 23.

Pamela Anderson SLAMS biopic Pam And Tommy

Pamela Anderson has reportedly branded upcoming Hulu show Pam And Tommy, about her romance with Tommy Lee, ‘a joke and cheap knock-off’.

The show hit headlines last week when first look images showed Lily James, 32, and Sebastian Stan, 38, bear an uncanny likeness to the iconic couple, however it seems the model, 53, is less than impressed at the forthcoming show.

Insiders told The Sun that the star deems the ‘God awful’ programme ‘a joke’ and has never heard of Lily or Sebastian, who have already been praised for their transformation – although seemingly without Pamela’s seal of approval.

Pam And Tommy is based on the model’s three-year marriage to rock star Tommy – which saw them tie the knot in 1995 and take part in their notorious sex tape.

The source said: ‘One of the iconic star’s friends told The Sun: ‘Pamela has no intention of watching this God awful show, absolutely not. Never…

She’s never heard of the actors playing her or Tommy, and doesn’t care to know them. She and her family think the show is a cheap knock-off.’

The insider then added: ‘The whole thing is a joke to them.’

MailOnline has contacted representative for Pamela for comment.

Lily and Sebastian showed off their incredible resemblances to the former couple on Friday as they appeared to mimic the famous 2005 photo of Pamela, 53, tugging on Tommy’s, 58, nipple ring with her teeth.

While a different snap saw Lily in an all-black leather outfit that highlighted her cleavage in a black leather vest as she transformed into the blonde bombshell.

The raunchy photos were shared on the Twitter page for the Pam And Tommy series on Friday.

They tweeted: ‘Here’s a peek at Pam & Tommy, coming to @hulu . Based on the true scandal that started it all, featuring Lily James, Sebastian Stan and @sethrogen … ready to rewind? #PamAndTommy.’

In the raunchy black-and-white photo, Sebastian went shirtless with drawn on inkings, he also wore a pair of high-waisted jeans, chain belt and a padlock necklace.

The actor sported a similar shaggy hairdo and soul patch to the Mötley Crüe drummer. Lily wore a racy plaid top and showed off a Barb Wire tattoo on her arm, while also wearing her blond wig styled up.

Brandon Wasn’t Surprised By Pam’s New Marriage

Pamela Anderson’s son Brandon Lee says she always talked about moving home to Vancouver Island — so he wasn’t surprised when she married a ‘Canadian guy’ late last year.

Pamela Anderson married Dan Hayhurst on Christmas Eve 2020 in an intimate wedding on the Vancouver Island property that she bought from her grandparents three decades ago. The wedding took a lot of people by surprise, but her son Brandon Thomas Lee said he thinks the hometown marriage has always been “part of her plan.”

While promoting the upcoming season of The Hills: New Beginnings, the 24-year-old told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY, “ever since I was young, she’s always talked about going back to Vancouver Island and, you know, living out the rest of her life there.”

“So, part of me thinks that this was always part of her plan. Kind of get all the craziness out of the way and then find some Canadian guy and just settle down and never really leave Vancouver Island again,” he added.

Pamela, who became known as the quintessential California beach blonde thanks to her iconic role on Baywatch, was actually born and raised in the small Canadian town of Chemainus, B.C.. And, since marrying Vancouver Island resident Dan, the famously vegan PETA advocate seem to be taking serious steps to fully return to her roots.

The founder of the Pamela Anderson Foundation even put her Malibu beach home on the market for $15 million last month. And, although Brandon has no plans to move away from Malibu, he said he does consider Canada a second home.

“I don’t go up as much I should. I love it up there. Vancouver Island is my second home as well. I went to high school there and I definitely miss it,” he shared.

“I haven’t been able to go up there as much because of COVID and obviously, filming the show and I’ve been busy doing other things but you know, I’ll probably go up there and visit soon,” he added.

Before Brandon makes a visit to North, he’ll be keeping busy prepping for the upcoming premiere of season 2 of The Hills: New Beginnings. The hit series will return to MTV for its sophomore season on May 12.

Season 2 will see the famous friend group reuniting as COVID-19 lockdowns begin to lift in California. Their love lives, careers and personal struggles will be front and center.

In fact Brandon told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that his upcoming storyline will include a romance that doesn’t go the distance. “We’re already broken up..going through relationships on such a public platform. It’s always going to be interesting. And you’re gonna see the ups and downs with [my relationship.]”

As for dating in the public eye, Brandon said it makes everything more intense. “There’s a lot more pressure on everything, on everything you say and everything you do. It’s just under the microscope,” he revealed.
