Pamela Anderson joins BitClout after ditching social media

Pamela Anderson has joined a new social network called BitClout, which sources believe could be the star’s latest attempt to help free her pal Julian Assange.

Back in January, the “Baywatch” icon announced she was abandoning social media with a warning to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter users that big tech companies are trying to gain “control over your brain.” Anderson, 53, returned to Twitter briefly this week, however, to announce support for BitClout, hinting that her joining the network is a way toward “freedom.”

“Find me here and only here,” Anderson tweeted along with a definition of the term decentralization as “the transfer of control of an activity or organization to several local offices or authorities rather than one.”

Anderson’s subtle announcement has prompted questions from those close to the actress and activisit. One source tells Fox News that while her reasons for joining the network are “not entirely clear yet,” it “seems to have something to do with decentralization, freedom, a new world.”

“She intends on using the platform to speak freely and go against the grain,” the source continued, adding that it could be a plot to further her pleas to free the imprisoned WikiLeaks founder.

“We have to wonder if this has something to do with Assange. There’s really nothing she wouldn’t do to save his life,” said the source.

A second source close to Anderson tells Fox News her registration on the blockchain system is “to further her activism on a platform without the corporate checks and balances that suppress sensitive content.”

In January, Anderson bid goodbye to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, confessing that she’s “never been interested in social media” and her decision comes from reaching a point in her life that she’s “genuinely inspired by.” She added that she’s been enjoying her time “reading and being in nature” with the declaration, “I am free.”

There is little known about BitClout although it’s been reported that users of Crypto Twitter are drawn to it. BitClout’s lead creator goes by the name of Diamondhands and recently discussed the platform’s intent in an interview with CoinDesk.

“The core insight behind BitClout is that if you can mix speculation and content together, you can not only get a 10x product that creates innovative ways for creators to monetize, but you also get a new business model that’s not ad-driven anymore,” the creator told the outlet.

CoinDesk furthers that it’s a “proof-of-work blockchain designed for running social media” created by anonymous developers.

Pamela stocks up on crate of discount beer before taking lunch to her handyman husband in Canada

NEWLYWED Pamela Anderson looked like she was stocking up for a party as she loaded up on discount lager at her local shopping center.

The former Baywatch star was pictured carrying a 24-pack of Lucky Lager at a strip mall in the town of Ladysmith on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

She was also spotted at a building site where her new husband, handyman Dan Hayhurst, 40, works.

The 53-year-old had a busy day at her local shopping center, picking up groceries and pet food but she later found time to grab a mani-pedi at her local salon.

Pamela was also spotted with a “Free Assange” bumper sticker on her car.

The star has been a longtime supporter and has enjoyed a close relationship with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

The model and actress announced she had married her “bodyguard” Dan in what was her sixth wedding to her fifth husband back in January, saying: “I’m exactly where I need to be — in the arms of a man who loves me.”

She had previously been hitched to rockstar Tommy Lee, 58, Kid Rock, 50 and twice to Rick Salomon, 53.

She also married movie producer Jon Peters for 12 days but later claimed the ceremony was not made legal.

She wore a white short-sleeved dress and a large veil for her fifth wedding and the couple read each other traditional vows during the Christmas Eve ceremony, which was officiated by a local pastor.

Speaking about the wedding, Pamela told DailyMail.com: “I am in love. We were married Christmas Eve with both our families’ blessing, everyone we know is happy for us.

“I was married on the property I bought from my grandparents 25 years ago, this is where my parents were married and they are still together. I feel like I’ve come full circle.”

The ceremony took place in the backyard of the countryside estate located in the town of Ladysmith, where the couple live with his kids.

But Dan’s heartbroken ex Carey, who had been living with him and raising his two children for the past five years, told The Sun how she was blindsided by the affair and knew nothing of their marriage until she read about it online.

She said the pair started getting close early last year — while she and Dan were still together — before he finally moved out of their shared home and into Pam’s in July.

Carey, 42, said at the time: “This is not the lockdown love story which is being portrayed, it’s all a facade.

“I decided to speak out because I want people to know that my almost five-year relationship, with three children involved, ended because of the affair Pam and Dan started while he was still with me.

“It’s sad that people celebrate this and cheer them on, when it started with deceit, denials and life-shattering choices for all the people involved.

“It wasn’t this romance that happened overnight. He worked with her for over six months before any of that happened.

“He wasn’t her bodyguard then, he is a handyman, she hired him to work on her house.

“We were all totally blindsided by this, it’s been so hard for us. And it’s not just me and the kids, lots of people have been hurt by them. Dan has lost friendships and business relationships because of this.”

A rep for Pam declined to comment on the allegations at the time.

Pamela Anderson Lists $15M Malibu Home

Pamela Anderson is saying goodbye to her Malibu home.

The actress’s home located in the prestigious Malibu Colony will officially go on the market Monday, PEOPLE confirms.

The Baywatch star, 53, is seeking $14.9 million for the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath mansion designed by Philip Vertoch.

The actress — who secretly wed her bodyguard Dan Hayhurst on Christmas Eve — is opting to head north, and will now reside on her grandmother’s former property on Vancouver Island, Canada. She and Hayhurst have been staying there throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s time I went back to my roots. I’m in love and recently married my ‘average Joe’ (as he likes to call himself),” Pamela explains of her decision to leave Malibu behind.

Home now for Anderson is the sprawling ranch where her grandmother lived out her life.

“I’m creating my life here now again where it all started. It’s been a wild ride, now full circle,” the star says.

“I left my small town in my early twenties for Playboy, traveled all around the world, just to come home — one of the most beautiful places on earth. I made it home in one piece, a miracle. I’m a lucky girl.”

Anderson bought the Canadian property three decades ago but now, with her new husband by her side, she is renovating and developing the house to make it her personal piece of sustainable paradise.

Sustainability was also a motivation behind her 5,500-square-foot beach home’s design.

The striking structure sits atop a 6,324-square-foot lot that is privately gated and includes a guest house, rooftop deck with a fireplace, pool, and spa.

The property also comes with beach access to one of the area’s most exclusive strips of sand.

Anderson tells PEOPLE that her favorite room in the house is “my bedroom.”

“I love it and it’s the most sensual and clean space with a rain shower on a teak floor and sauna attached plus a bathtub is in my bedroom,” she said of the luxe chamber which is constructed using teak from “conflict-free areas. ”

Listing agent Tomer Fridman of the Tomer Fridman Group tells PEOPLE that the home’s location has long been one of the most sought after by the rich and famous.

“The Malibu market has become the destination of choice for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals from across the nation,” Fridman says.

“Malibu Colony, in particular, is one of Los Angeles’s most important enclaves dating back to Hollywood’s heyday of ’20s glamour.”

Anderson’s move comes more than two months after she wed Hayhurst in an intimate ceremony on the grounds of her Canadian home.

Since her wedding, Anderson has logged off social media, saying in her final Instagram post that she is “settled into the life. I’m genuinely inspired by reading and being in nature. I am free.”
