Pamela Anderson has opened up about her relationship with Julian Assange.

During a segment for 60 Minutes on Sunday night, the iconic Baywatch star said the pair ‘are very close’ and that he, ‘trusts her’.

The 51-year-old revealed that she visits the Wikileaks founder at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London for hours at a time and leaves ‘exhausted’.

When asked to qualify their relationship, the actress insisted: ‘We don’t have a romantic relationship like that, but I feel very close to him. And I feel closer to him than a lot of people have and he trusts me. Yes, it’s a friendship.’

However she does say the pair share a ‘romantic struggle’ which is their mutual dedication to activism – in Pamela’s case, animal rights.

When pressed on whether she would date the Australian once he’s able to go free, the former pin-up was coy.

‘He’s a little pale for me,’ she joked, before adding: ‘Who knows. No, I’m kidding. I’m kidding.’

‘He needs some sun. He’s got no sunlight. somewhere. He needs to be on a beach’ she added.

Pamela, who has been married three times in the past, is currently dating toy boy French professional footballer Adil Rami.

The Blonde and Blonder star, who has moved to France to live with Adil, has said she didn’t expect their love to last, not least because of the 19-year age gap.

She told The Sun she had warned her love she would one day ‘fall apart.’

‘Let’s be in love for as long as we are in love and if there is ever one day, you look at me and go ‘ugh’, well, I can always go and live in another country,’ she said frankly.
