Brandon Lee Will Not Be Charged

Brandon Lee won’t be facing charges for his altercation with his father, Tommy Lee, last month.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office tells ET that the D.A. declined on Friday to file charges against the 21-year-old.

No further details were available at the time of publication.

Over the weekend, Tommy was spotted out and about in Los Angeles with his fiancée, Brittany Furlan. The two were seen leaving a local flea market.

As ET previously reported, police responded to a 911 call that Brittany made from Tommy’s Calabasas, California, home on March 5, where the Mötley Crüe rocker claimed that his son had hit him. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officer told ET at the time that Tommy was then transported to a local hospital, and was planning on pressing charges.

Hours after the incident, Tommy shared a since-deleted photo of his bloodied face to Instagram, captioning it, “My heart is broken. You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you. Good job Brandon! Great son!”

Brandon, who is the eldest son of Tommy and his ex-wife, Pamela Anderson, also shared a few cryptic videos to his Instagram Story. “As I get older, I have started to realize there are very few people you can trust,” he said. “But anyway that’s my super depressing thought for tonight, just thought I’d share it… be a d**k.”

Brandon also claimed that the altercation was a result of his father’s alleged drinking problem (which Pamela commented on in a lengthy post shared to her website last month), though Tommy has denied such allegations.

A source told ET that Brandon and Pamela have created a “united front” against Tommy in recent weeks. “Tommy is seething,” the source claimed. “He is watching every move Brandon makes. He wants his son to beg for forgiveness, but that won’t happen. He wants Brandon to show remorse and doesn’t feel he has done anything to have deserved this.”

“Brandon is sticking to his story that this was self-defense and that his father needs rehab,” the source added. “Pam has made sure that they are ready with a team just in case Tommy doesn’t drop the charges. No one thought Tommy would take this so far. His family and friends have been pushing him to drop the charges, but he is being stubborn. Everyone hoped he [Tommy] was doing this to scare Brandon, but at this point they are worried if Tommy waits to drop the charges, there is a good chance the D.A. could charge him anyway.”

Pamela Anderson: Becoming a ‘Playboy’ Model ‘Saved My Life’

Pamela Anderson refuses to be held down. In an exclusive new interview with Us Weekly, the 50-year-old model opens up about the sexual abuse she suffered growing up.

“I was molested as a child by a bad female babysitter, who is no longer alive,” she says. “And my first experiences with men were not consensual.”

But Anderson never let the abuse stop her from persevering. She landed her big break with Playboy in 1989 and became the magazine’s Playmate of the Month the following February, an accomplishment that she says she’ll never forget.

“I was painfully shy as a child. As a young girl, Playboy empowered me. It really saved my life,” she tells Us. “I felt very trapped inside and needed to free myself. It was a breakthrough for me, and there I met artists and activists and gentleman. It has been a fun and wild life.”

The road to success wasn’t always easy though, which is why Anderson has a message for those who have gone through similar struggles. “I encourage everyone to be brave and step outside your comfort zone,” she says. “It’s a springboard into the unknown. And when you can do this, you can really live.”

She continues, “We’ve all had some kind of tragedy in our lives. We just have to remember that and be good to each other.”

The Baywatch alum is also speaking out against the recent sexual misconduct scandal in Hollywood. (She came under fire in November for suggesting that Harvey Weinstein’s accusers knew what they were “getting into” by “going into a hotel room alone” with the movie mogul, who has denied any allegations of non-consensual sex.)

“Hollywood is difficult. It is not my favorite place to be,” she tells Us. “But it is a business, and if this is the life you want, you play the game. I’m happy to be living in France now. Hollywood is too much. I’d rather use my energy in other ways.”

Those other ways include continuing her work as an activist with PETA and writing her upcoming book, Lust for Love: Rekindling Intimacy and Passion in Your Relationship. As she tells Us, “Activism is sexy.”
